Somerville Journal: “State lays out timeline for Green Line project through Somerville”
Fall 2012: Start of reconstruction of the Medford Street railroad trestle near the Cambridge Line and the Howard Street trestle in Medford.
Summer 2013: Construction will begin on the new Lechmere, Union Square and Washington Street stations. Construction will also begin on the new maintenance facility in the Inner Belt.
2014: Construction will begin on the Gilman Square, Lowell Street, Ball Square and College Avenue stations.
2016: Construction of the new Lechmere, Union Square and Washington Street stations will be completed, with trolley service opening on that portion of the Green Line Extension.
2018: Construction will be completed of the remaining stops, except for Route 16.
