Don’t let the state snow us again…
It’s time to stop stalling and start building.
Twice we’ve stunned state officials with Somerville’s support for extending the Green Line:
- On the night the Red Sox won the World Series, over 500 residents came out to an MBTA meeting on the Green Line at the Somerville High School.
- Two months later, nearly 200 residents took time off from work for a hearing at the State House to speak against substituting other projects for those promised 15 years ago as part of the Big Dig.
Come and tell Massachusetts Transportation Secretary Dan Grabauskas and Environmental Protection Commissioner Robert Golledge they must honor the state’s commitment to replace our slow, polluting buses with reliable, clean light rail service. Let’s make this third meeting our lucky charm! It is critical that there be a large turnout!
